The Place

27 Restaurant & Bar is part of Miami’s Freehand Hotel. Freehand is an American chain of cool, social, community-focused hotels. You’ll find the restaurant in an easy-to-miss, residential-style building right next door.

The Neighbourhood

Towards the top end of Miami’s South Beach. Right next door to the Freehand Hotel and the Broken Shaker bar. Further north up the coast from Byblos restaurant.

A Good Shout for…

A home-style dinner with a difference. Getting away from the most touristy parts of the strip. Also open for brunch on Sundays.

The Best Bits

  • Waiting for a table in the upstairs lounge area and trying some of 27’s ingenious cocktail creations.
  • The eclectic menu featuring lots of fresh, local ingredients. Including lots of stuff that’s grown in the restaurant’s own garden. And some great seafood.
  • A team of waiting staff who really know their stuff, can make recommendations and love talking about what they’ve got on the menu. Always a good sign!
  • Feeling like you’re sat in someone’s sitting room. Whether you sit inside or out on the courtyard, you’ll be treated to a welcoming, homelike yet super-cool ambience.

[…] in Miami. It’s super cheap and reliable.)Some places I’d recommend nearby… Quirky, homely 27 Restaurant Miami. Mexican restaurant, Bakan. And Byblos, for Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. All great dinner options […]
