Cull & Pistol, New York City

The Place

Oyster bar and lobster joint located inside Chelsea Market. This seafood restaurant sits amongst a variety of other restaurants and pop up food venues in the marketplace.

The Neighbourhood

New York’s hip Chelsea neighbourhood, home to over 200 art galleries and the unique High Line park. Right by New York Soho House Hotel and The Standard, High Line.

A Good Shout for…

Oysters and lobster. Informal eats in the busy, bustling market.

The Best Bits

  • Three words – Saint. Simon. Oysters. They were absolutely, mind-blowingly amazing. I’m an oyster lover and I’ve never tasted anything like it.
  • Lobster roll. Glass of chilled white wine. That with your Saint Simon oysters and it’s job done. Delicious!
  • Learning what Cull & Lobster actually means. A cull is a lobster missing one claw because of a run in with a predator. And a pistol is a poor fella who’s lost both. Sad-but-true, newfound lobster knowledge.
