Ethos, London

The Place

Ethos is a vegetarian restaurant that I’ve been going to for years. And I’m confident that even the most carnivorous of diners would find something here to tickle their taste buds.

It’s a self-service policy where you help yourself from a selection of freshly-made veggie and vegan cuisine and then pay by the weight of your plate.

The Neighbourhood

Noho. A road north of Oxford Street and two or three minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus. Surrounded by a heap of other cool dining options including Yalla Yalla, Circolo Popolare and Flesh & Buns.

A Good Shout for…

A veggie breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or a cheeky coffee and cake stop.

The Best Bits

  • The food. All made from scratch with mainly locally sourced products but international influences. It feels healthy but it’s packed with flavour. Win win, right?
  • Special diet? They’ve got it covered. 50% of the menu is vegan. There are also gluten, refined sugar and dairy free options.
  • The trees they have growing up through the restaurant. Beautiful!
  • The dessert options, which really knock your socks off. Even if you’re not going for the full Monty, I’d recommend dropping in for a coffee and something sweet.
