In 2014 a derelict tram shed was transformed intoFoodhallen Amsterdam, a vibrant city food hall packed with pop up restaurants.
This place is always busy and you can’t make areservation so be prepared for a 10 to 15 minute wait. Then hop onto one of thelong communal tables and choose from an exceptional selection of world cuisine.
Foodhallen Amsterdam is located west of the famous Nine Streets district so it’s a little bit out of the way. Saying that, if you’re travelling from the centre on a bicycle, you can be there in ten minutes. Or jump on the metro and take the few stops to Bilderdijkstraat, if you want to get there even quicker.
