The guys behind this lovely little lunchroom had a nofrills approach to restaurant naming. Ree7 comes from the address, Reestraat 7.

The same laidback vibe makes this café a great placeto hang out. Simple, contemporary décor. Quality food. And super friendlyservice.

I love popping into Ree7 Amsterdam for breakfast, grabbing a table inside or out on the street. Or just running in for a takeaway coffee.

The Neighbourhood

You’ll find Ree7 Amsterdam in the central Nine Streets district, surrounded by canals. Around the corner from the Pulitzer hotel and also a nearby neighbour to venues including Soho House and Kessens.

The Best Bits

• The wonderful smell of freshly baked bread that greets you as you open the door. Ree7 Amsterdam is rightly famed for its homemade bread, cakes and pies. And it feels like you’re stepping into somebody’s kitchen as you walk inside.
  
• The food. Delicious cakes, pies, sandwiches and salads. Serving breakfast and lunch menus (as well as home roasted coffee), it’s the perfect daytime pit stop.
  
• The very ‘grammable milkshakes, piled high with a structurally unsound collection of naughty toppings. Calories don’t count when you’re on holiday, right?
  
• Chatting to the staff. Every time I’ve visited Ree7 Amsterdam, everyone has been really happy to chat and share their local recommendations.
