ROK is a cool and cosy restaurant right by the famous Hallgrimskirkja church.
This trendy little place serves up the likes of cured reindeer, Icelandic mussels and plokkfiskur (a traditional Icelandic fish pie). It’s the perfect place to sample contemporary Icelandic cuisine.
ROK sits right at the end of one of Reykjavik’s main city streets. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk from 101 Hotel (read my review here.) and just a few buildings up from Brauð & Co., a little bakery that I fell in love with.
If you’d prefer a more laid back dining experience, head to Kröst and the Hlemmur Food Hall, a further 10 minutes away from ROK and the city centre.
Warming up with a few cocktails and small plates after a visit to Reykjavik’s iconic church.
