Röst Coffee House, Reykjavik is a cosy little café on the old harbour. Delicious coffee. Super friendly staff. And a view of the sea from a warm and comfortable corner. Pure hygge.
The Neighbourhood
Röst Coffee House, Reykjavik can be found in the same complex as the Seabaron restaurant – an area of beyond basic buildings designed primarily to withstand the worst the weather can throw at them.
There are a few museums nearby. And the Harpa Concert Hall is just up the road. If you’re staying at 101 Hotel (as I did - read my review here) it’s around a 10 minute walk away.

The Best Bits
Röst Coffee House, Reykjavik is a one-stop-shop. Craving a dreamy hot chocolate? No prob. Past midday and still to sample an Icelandic beer? These guys have got you sorted. There are also pastries in the morning, grilled sandwiches and soup in the afternoons.
If you fancy hunkering down for a while to escape the Icelandic elements, there are packs of cards and board games to keep you entertained. Scrabble, anyone?
You might not expect a building that looks like a shipping container to have any interior design swag. But Röst Coffee House, Reykjavik has got it going on. Great lighting meets beautiful furniture. Not to mention those huge windows that frame the incredible sea view.
